Scoring of Writing Submissions
All California Writing Region entries will be scored during two sessions, one at UC Berkeley on January 16, 2010 and the second at Cal State Northridge on January 23, 2010. Each entry will be read at least twice by a trained reader, using the National Scholastic holistic rating rubric for writing entries.
Top scoring entries will be submitted to the California Awards Selection committee which will review and certify the scoring of and recommendations for California’s Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention winners.
