Family Writing Programs

California Writes! and CWP partner with schools, community organizations, Migrant Education, and Head Start to offer Family Writing Programs that strengthen the literacy connection between home and school. Families write and read together, often in English and also other languages of the home. Parents, grandparents, children, teachers, and paraprofessionals write side by side and focus on the most effective ways to support each student writer to success. The most frequently asked question at the end of the program is “When can we do this again?”
